We love to hear your feedback, as this continues to improve Matcher’s theme over time. Go ahead and send us an email for a quick human response!
On the next page, we will receive an overview of our site and instructions on how to choose a content area. Move the mouse around the page to select the largest area that makes sense. This is the area that will be filled with WordPress posts and widgets in the last theme.
It may be difficult to get the best possible location, but you can always go back and try again if it does not work.
By slowly moving the mouse towards the edge of the title, I can select the largest possible area.
You can imagine what would be all that would be overwritten if we tried to put the whole blog in the block!
A typical WordPress blog has a large content area for articles and a smaller sidebar with widgets such as recent articles, categories, ads, and more.
We can choose to put the sidebar to the left, right or not at all, and to have all the space dedicated to blog posts.
We have great space for content, but sometimes there are items on the template page that we do not want to include in the blog theme.
If you scroll down, you will see redundant content under the green blog area that we may not want in the theme. Just click to delete. You can do it as many times as necessary.
This is a preview of our theme run on an example installation of WordPress. What you see here is exactly how the theme will be in the wild.
